Women's Jiu-Jitsu in Hyattsville
Our women's program is led by a champion. Professor Charlene Dixon — GFTeam black belt, IBJJF Pan American Champion, and Master Worlds silver medalist — leads the women's program at our academy, and women train across our Hyattsville classes with her in their corner.

The women's crew
The women of GFTeam Hyattsville train across our classes with Professor Charlene in their corner — and a women's-only class joins the schedule this December.
Coach Amy Bowen is also on the mats in Hyattsville — an active competitor and a dedicated female role model who hopes to inspire the next generation of young girls to embrace the challenges of jiu-jitsu, develop discipline, and discover their own strength.
A women's-only BJJ class is coming this December — the day and time will be announced soon. Until then, women are welcome in every class on the schedule.
Never trained before? Your first class is a free trial — a real group class, beginner-friendly, with a welcoming team. Come see the mats for yourself.
